Working with Gantry
Maintenance: a reminder before the printer complains.
The Maintenance & service module keeps tasks with checklists, due dates by print hours or calendar, problems, parts and the cost history of every printer.
01At a glance
At a glance
- In service
- A manual status: the Farm skips the printer for uploads and starts. A running print is not interrupted.
- Schedules
- Print hours and calendar days — whichever comes first.
- Problems
- Description, priority, photo and status: open, in progress, resolved.
- Parts
- Stock, minimum and unit cost. Usage is deducted when you record the work.
02Step by step
Step by step
Open the module
Gantry menu → “Maintenance & service…”, the side navigation or the maintenance icon on a printer card.
Add a task
Your own name and checklist, one-off or recurring, for one printer or all of them. You can save it as a template.
Set the schedule
Print hours, days or both — the reminder comes with whichever is first.
Record the work
Tick every step, add a note, the hour counter, the cost and the part used.
Report problems
Description, priority and photo. A defect you confirm in Gantry Vision can create a problem straight away.
03Good to know
Good to know
- Working hours come from data Gantry has seen — while the app is off it can’t rebuild the printer’s earlier history.
- Snoozing a reminder doesn’t record the maintenance as done.
- The module isn’t available in LITE mode, and the web dashboard has no service forms. Data and photos stay local.
