At a glance
- Slot
- Colour, material, percentage and grams when the printer reports them, plus an arrow on the active slot.
- Module
- AMS and AMS HT, as well as ACE Pro, Canvas, Happy Hare MMU and Creality CFS — depending on the printer’s data.
- Roll
- A physical spool from Spoolbase with its own weight, price and location. Its grams follow it to another printer.
02Step by step
Step by step
Open AMS / Filaments
From the Gantry menu or the side navigation. Pick a printer.
Click a slot
Slot details show the material, colour, amount and the assigned roll. The module may also report temperature and humidity.
Assign a roll
With Spoolbase on, choose “Assign spool…” or “Change assignment…” and point to the spool that is really loaded.
Moved a roll?
Assign the same roll to the new slot instead of creating another one — grams belong to the roll, not the slot.
Hide EXT
If you don’t use the external spool, the EXT switch hides it for that printer, including the web dashboard.
03Good to know
Good to know
- The colour reported by the AMS takes priority over the colour saved with the roll. When they differ, Gantry warns you — check the assignment.
- RFID identifies the physical roll. Gantry assigns an untagged roll on its own only when exactly one matches; with several, you choose.
- Missing grams mean no reading or no assignment, not an empty roll. A reading of 0 g means the roll is empty.
- The AMS reading and the slicer’s usage are not deducted twice.
