Gantry

Feature

You know what every print cost

Gantry counts filament and power, and with a Tasmota or Shelly plug it measures consumption during the print.

How to work out the cost of a 3D print

The cost of a print is filament, power and machine time. Here is an example for 120 g of filament and 4.5 hours of printing, with Gantry’s default settings.

The plug reads power about every 5 seconds

With a Tasmota or Shelly plug, Gantry reads power throughout the print. Each result is labelled: measured, partly measured or estimated.

Pricing covers the full cost of a job

To the customer price you can add markup, income tax, VAT, platform commission, a reserve for failed prints, packaging and your own work. This is an estimate for pricing, not tax advice.

Reports save to a file

Save a single print as TXT and the whole history as CSV.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a plug that measures power?

No. Without one, Gantry estimates energy from the printer’s average power. A Tasmota or Shelly plug gives you measurements during the print.

How do I know if a result is measured or estimated?

Each result is labelled: measured, partly measured or estimated.
